Change the dashboard background on Mac!

Hi everybody!

Would you like to customise a bit more your Mac and have a cool dashboard like this?



You just need to follow 5 simple steps!
  1. Choose the image that you want to use as background
    • Size: Your screen resolution to make it look better.
    • Format: PNG.
  2. Rename the picture as:
    • In Lion/Mountain Lion version: "pirelli.png" or "pirelli@2x.png" for retina display.
    • In Maverick version: "dbgrid.png" or "dbgrid@2x.png" for retina display.
  3. Go to the folder "/System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources/"
    • To navigate using finder use the “Go To Folder” (Command+Shift+G)
  4. Copy the new image background and replace it in the ".../Resources/" folder.
    • If you don't want los the original one, search it and rename it.
  5. Finally just need to restart your computer or insert the next line in your terminal
    • killall Dock
